  • Waitlist & Future Updates: We store your email address to build a distribution list for a future newsletter regarding our blog topics (which may include technology, politics, history, and nutrition). Note: We may not send emails immediately. By submitting your information, you consent to us contacting you in the future, even if a significant period has passed since your signup. Your consent to join the mailing list is obtained via the submission form and can be withdrawn at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.
  • Communication: To respond to inquiries you send to our contact address.
  • Site Optimization: To understand which articles are performing best via anonymous analytics.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls (e.g., restricted sharing and password protection on Google Sheets), encryption in transit and at rest via Google Workspace, and regular reviews of access logs. Security is a shared responsibility, with Google providing infrastructure safeguards.
  • International Transfers: Please be aware that while our analytics data remains in the EU, your personal contact information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our central operations and cloud storage providers are located. By submitting your information, you consent to this transfer.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Mailing List: We retain your email address until you explicitly request to unsubscribe or we decide to discontinue the project. We reserve the right to retain data only as long as needed for the newsletter’s purposes, with periodic reviews to delete inactive entries (e.g., after 5 years of inactivity unless requested otherwise).

We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under CCPA/CPRA.
